Bio:
Kevin J. Murphy specializes in the areas of labor economics and econometrics. His current research interests include income inequality, payroll tax incidence, and school finance reform. His scholarly work has appeared in journals such as: Labour Economics, Southern Economic Journal, Economic Inquiry, Review of Economics and Statistics, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Journal of Regional Science, Annals of Regional Science, the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, and the Journal of Macroeconomics. He has served as consultant to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, to local government on Act 312 Arbitrations, and to private sector firms on statistical and econometric questions. His research has been supported by the U.S. Department of Labor and he held a Fulbright Fellowship to the National University of Ireland.
