Attend the Tutorial Lab Session
These are self-directed lab sessions in EH 202 (schedule below). Most of them are "scheduled" in the sense that they focus on a specific tutorial homework. The grading assistant and the instructor will be available for advice during these sessions. There are no lectures. The textbook is constructed as a self-teaching manual. Please read the material in advance of the lab sessions and plan to spend the session working with your group on the homework. Alternatively you can meet your group elsewhere if you wish. There are two open labs "open", not "scheduled", and they are intended for you to practice using MS Access and ask questions of the tutorial assistant but do not concern a specific chapter of the text or a specific homework assignment.

Do the Tutorial Homework Assignment
We are doing Case #3, Redwood Zoo. When you feel you understand each tutorial's lesson (having practiced either at home or in the lab), then attempt the homework assignment as a group (either in the lab during the scheduled Fridays or somewhere else at a place and time of your group's convenience). Submit the homework by email to the tutorial assistant before 9:20 am on the due date. The paragraph below describes how to submit the assignment so that it can be received, evaluated and returned effectively and efficiently:
Homework Assignments are submitted via email to the tutorial assistant . For the Subject, specify which homework assignment is being submitted, which group and which section (an example might be "Tutorial 3, Group 4, 1:20 section"). It is VERY IMPORTANT to include the names and e-mail addresses of everyone in the group who participated in the homework assignment in your email. Because the files may be quite large, you should “zip” your files. You may “zip” your files using WinZip. Finally, CHANGE THE EXTENSION FROM ".zip" to ".txt", because the OU email system will not accept attachments named "*.zip". As the answer key will be posted at the conclusion of the assignment, no late assignments can be accepted.
The solutions and the next tutorial's files will be linked to below some time on Monday afternoon. The files for the first homework assignment can be obtained by clicking here.
Check out the Tutorial Homework Solutions and Download the next Tutorial's Databases
The databases that result from each tutorial are available by clicking on the link below. You will generally need these files for subsequent tutorials. In addition, the solutions are explained in a pictorial file, to help you understand the grading sheet you got back.
(Note: This link does not point to anything useful for the next tutorial until after previous tutorial's due date!)
