PC Labs, Laptops & Technology:

1. SBA will continue to push info technology in the classroom & in programs

2. Laptop use and ownership will become required in certain programs & courses.

3. Laptops will replace desktops in new Instructional PC Labs.

4. To support IT education in SBA programs the Wing will have:

   • Classrooms will have wireless and limited wired Internet access.

   • Open PC Lab with power & data for student Laptops, 1,100 sq.ft.

   • Instructional PC Labs (2) with power & data for student Laptops, each 1,100 sq.ft.

   • Information Assistant Office - for databases, WebCT, etc.

   • Network Assistant Office - to operate SBA Network (new position).

   • Server Room - to house Oracle, Web, database & other servers, 200 sq.ft.

   • PC Workroom and Storage Room to supplement 217/219 EH, 300 sq.ft.

5. Faculty Printer Rooms on two floors of Wing, each at 100 sq.ft.
