June 1983 - March 1985. President, Western Medical Software, Ltd., Calgary, Alberta. One of two principles in a software and computer service corporation specializing in providing computer systems and software to the medical profession.

August 1980 - June 1981. Assistant Professor, Department of Information Systems, School of Business, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia. Courses included COBOL Programming, Telecommunications, and Data Processing.

September 1975 - July 1980. Assistant Professor, Department of Communications, University of Ottawa. Courses taught included Introduction to Communication Phenomena, Applied Communication, Research Methods, Public Opinion, Interpersonal Communication, Seminar in Research, and Critique of Theories in Communication.

June 1973 - September 1975. Member of Scientific Staff, Bell-Northern Research, Ltd., Ottawa, Ontario. Behavioural research, research design in the area of information retrieval, psychoaccoustics, and the social impact and psychological parameters of telecommunication and computer-based communication and information retrieval systems. Developed an image-retrieval system for use in editing, home info retrieval, and management.

September 1969 - June 1973. Instructor, Annenberg School of Communication, University of Pennsylvania. Taught Computer Laboratory, covering computational techniques and computer impact of social systems. Concentrated on PL/1, string and list processing, and discrete simulation using SIMSCRIPT.

January 1971 - May 1973. Consultant Systems Analyst, Computer Command and Control Company, Philadelphia, Pa. Design and implementation of supervisory computer front-end for on-line sales tax processing system; preparing and teaching courses in programming.

June 1966 - September 1970. Programmer/Analyst, Systems Analyst, Computer Centre, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pa. Applications programming, operating system implementation, staff and user consultation and training. Courses offered included system design fundamentals and several programming languages.
